Tissue Services Department Scholarship Recipient for 2010

Congratulations to Kyle Baldwin, a senior at Southwest High School. Kyle wrote the winning essay for the 2010 Tissue Services Department Scholarship

 


The Tissue Department at the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center was happy to announce our first Essay contest.  This contest included all high school seniors in our five counties and was to be written about the importance of organ,tissue & cornea donation and the Glenda Dawson Donate Life-Texas Registry.  After careful consideration a winner was chosen.  The winner for the $500 Scholarship Essay contest was a student from Tom C. Clark, Nick Rasor. The awards ceremony took place on August 5th, 2009 at our home office.
